These statements are intended to indicate that our materials have passed various levels of biocompatibility testing up to and including those required by USP Class VI medical devices, however, not necessarily by Piper.
All biocompatibility testing is the ultimate responsibility of our customers as they are most familiar with the application and level of biocompatibility testing required for their product.
Piper does not assume this responsibility and potential liability for any of its customers, just as our vendors are unwilling to assume this responsibility and potential liability for us.
We can, however, certify that your material formulation will never change without notification, and we can request similar certifications from our vendors.
If you have specific requirements regarding biocompatibility, you would be responsible for the associated testing. Piper will, of course, fully support you in obtaining the certification you require by supplying product samples to be tested.
